Morrowind and Radeon LE

Anyone here paying morrowind? and with Radeon LE?

I know my card is probably too low end for this game.. My problem is not the frame rate, but always got dumped to desktop or froze up.

Rig: p3-700 @ 933, 512mb, maxtor 7200 20gb HD, SB live value, Win2K. I am running Dugeon Siege with no problem @ 1024X768.

Currently I am using the default (optimized) profile came with 3D tweaker, disabled o/c (but still crash TOO often), any suggestion?

Do I need a GF4 or new Radeon? If so, which model should I get?
 
I'm using an Athlon 1.4Ghz/768 MB pc133 SDRAM/Geforce 3, and it slows down for me, occasionally, too. I've yet to see consistant framerates above 50, and I've seen them sink to 17. This is a wicked demanding game. Do you have complex shadows turned on? If so, turn them off. They don't add much to the game and they can put the performance even further in the toilet. Also, play with the fog settings for increased performance, as well as the distance sliders. Hope this helps.

The Morrowing forum is down (it was performing so horribly that the webmaster even posted saying that the performance sucked) hopefully due to an upgrade. You may want to try here for other help:
