Moronic friend attacks my power switch, CPU problem

When I was staying at a friend's house, a not-so-bright visitor went off the deep end on my power button, pressing it on/off/on/off about 40+ times. I booted it, and my bios says "Please enter BIOS settings to set CPU-Clock" or something along the lines of that. How do I know that my CPU isn't running on "safe mode" clock speeds? Is there a way to test current clocking speeds?

Thanks -.-
