Moron... Or case cooling genius

I dont know about n e one else, but id like my computer to be neat, orginized, and not have to make a whole operation, or pay 100+ dollars for a case that i can throw more fans in. I thought of a easy, cost efficient way of making youre comp cooler..
First, get 2 fans.. 92mm or bigger reccomended
Then get a 12 inch long pvc tube so it can fit the outside of the fan blade (snug with the hole)
Connect the 2 fans to teh pvc pipe with both fans blowning towards eachother
this causes them to have great pressure.
Drill 6 holes 2 inches apart on 1 side.
These holes can be about the size of about a nickel
run tubing from that hold, and then seal around the edges with caulk or something
place tubing where hot spots are in case (heatsink)
you can now position these whereever you like
its best to drill holes for the tubes in the bottom of the case

I suppose you can do the opposite to make a vacum
and suck air outta the case
to do this, point the fans away from each other

I'm guessing u would have to have an extremely wide case to do this otherwise ur video card etc would be in the way

But only if the fans have enough power to push the air through the (tiny) tubing.
 
I think maybe a better idea is to put the fans on the side of the case, still two of them and run a pvc pipe a few inches into computer and have 3 flexible smaller tubes come out of the end that you can direct...I agree I don't know if the two fans can generate enough pressure to push the area through all the individual bends, and in nice continual motion. Then the question of even distribution through each hole would be even another concern. I don't think it would push the same amount of air through each hole

Idea above minimizes bends which are difficult to redirect air around smootly and without turbulence.
 
What about having a fan on one side and tape the other? Two fans will create a lot of noise, and work agains each other. Better two tubes with two fans!
 
I agree usul...I meant to say two fans but two separate devices. I think that they would work against each other and make hole closer to each end extremely ineffective.
 
I see where you are going with this and it would be a very valid experiment. I see two problems with it however:

1. Air moving through all that tubing is going to make quite a whistling sound I would think.

2. I don't think that sufficient airflow would get to the heatsink. I just don't see even 20CFM making it through a less than 1" diameter pipe. If you left the fan on the heatsink this would be less of a problem.

Ah screw 2 things I just thought of another one.

3. All of the devices that don't have pipes running to them will slowly but surely raise the internal case temp untill more than likely it would overpower the increased cooling on devices with pipes aimed at them. This too could be overcome by placing strategic exhaust fans around the case (I would suggest this anyway to at least come close to equalizing pressure).
