Just spent an hour and half at the gym, left around 6AM, this was a lot more peaceful than going at other times of the day. There were very few people and it feels like a great way to start off the day.

For a while I went to the gym at 6am. Weightlifting sucks when you are only half awake. On the other hand, I loved doing cardio then; it made me feel awake and alive the rest of the day.

I felt the same way. I never felt as strong in the morning as I do after work. I found myself yawning every few minutes.

Morning jogs are great.

Need to make sure you're wearing reflective material though, drivers in the early morning hours aren't very sharp.

Yes, just a morning jog is enough to wake me up and make me feel much more alert during the day (and much less stressed!!)

I think they follow this strange procedure of going to bed before midnite, the horrors of which i hope to avoid ;)

I go to work at 7:30AM and wake up around 11:00AM.

So I have no time for exercise in the morning. And no, that was not a typo.

I actually don't like going to an empty gym. When I see other people working out, it motivates me to workout as well. If it's empty and I'm the only one in there, sometimes it just seems like a dead environment.

That's part of the reason I've been doing my cardio at the gym now a days instead of the treadmill that's in the basement of my apartment, even though I hate staying at the gym for more than the hour it takes me to lift weights.

Too early to give an answer :p

I just went today in the morning for the first time - obvious issue is waking up. I slept around 10PM and so it wasn't bad at all getting up at 6.

Agreed. I'm a night person, but I enjoy when I can get my workouts done in the morning. Not only does it feel more peaceful, it's nice to not have to worry about it after work.

eventually you just get used to the sleeping schedule. even when i try to sleep in, ill end up waking up at 7am anyway.

I like going around 11AM; most people are in class at that point, so the gym is empty enough to comfortably use. Though, I have not gone since last Monday since I got sick in the middle of last week and only now almost feeling 100% back to normal. If I'm lucky, I can start going back on Friday.

I've varied my gym times from 6:30am to 7PM to 11PM and each is a whole different crowd.

In school the 6:30am crowd was the super-hot because they're so hard core crowd. Now that I'm not at a univeristy gym, it's the very large, middle-aged, and elderly crowd.

The 7PM crowd at both the university and non-university gyms are the people who are there for the show and the ones putting on the show. This is the meat market time when the guys are all flexing and the girls are working out in their cute outfits and full makeup.

The 11PM crowd is more of a mish-mash. It's kind of a mix of the other two; far less crowded than 7PM but not as lonely as 6:30am.

6AM at my university = cheerleaders and other assorted hot muffins. Great for waking up and getting motivated.

Absolutely can not do it. I know I should (just after waking is the best results from workouts), but I can't do mornings.
