Themexp.org provides users with more WinXP themes that utilizes XP's native "ms-styles" format which is much better than the buggy Windowsblinds. The themes are applied just like any other WinXP theme. Problem is, WinXP will not recongnize any new theme that is not digitally signed by MS. In order for the themes to work TGT Soft has release Style XP which is a basic program that removes the digitally signing requirement for the themes. But this program is not free. In 30 days TGT Soft will want you to register their software for $20. But there's a work-around!
People in these forums had success with this method below. Basically we are replacing the .dll file that requires "digitally signed" themes, thus elimnating the need for TGT Soft's Style XP.
THESE THEMES DON'T take up any of your resources, nor have an app running in the backround -so you don't have to worry about losing that extra 1fps in Quake
. These themes are applied and used just like the original ones!

HOW TO USE THE NEW WINXP THEMES WITHOUT STYLE XP: (A run-down of the instructions included in the patch)
1. Unzip the patch (any location is fine)
2. Run the uxthemepatcher (this will create uxtheme.pat in "C:\WINDOWS\system32" folder)
3. In the "c:\windows\system32\dllcache" folder, rename uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.bak
**Cut & Paste location in address bar if you can't find it**
4. In the "c:\windows\system32" folder, rename uxtheme.dll to uxtheme.bak
5. Lastly, make a copy of uxtheme.pat and rename the second copy uxtheme.dll
NOTE: You're going to get a warning from Windows System File Protection. Don't restore the old uxtheme.dll. Just answer "Cancel" & "Yes" to the prompts.
REBOOT
Downlaod More WinXP Themes
Unzip to "C:\WINDOWS\Resources\Themes" folder
