None of the competitors? What about nissan? Those things are probably even bigger rust buckets then toyotas.

Please show me where Nissans are having their frames rust to pieces after only a few years? I haven't heard of Nissan having to do a wide spread buy back or do extensive frame repairs on vehicles to avoid a government forced recall.

Rusty body panels and the frame rusting to pieces are two very different things.

He probably meant "quality" truck competitors...😛

Nissan <<<<< Toyota <<<GM/Ford/Dodge

Nissan was planning on getting out of the full size pickup business anyways. The new Titan was going to be built by Dodge and rebadged. I'm not sure what the status of that deal is though now with Dodge's new ownership.

Not only that but Nissan used a full box frame like Chevy/GMC, Ford, and dodge. Toyota not only cheaped out design wise on their open C frame, but I guess did not use good steel/coatings on it.

I like the Nissan full size truck better then Toyota but knew toyota name would carry them above nissan. Now Nissan full size trucks will just be dodge rebadge. 🙁

The titan was a good first shot at a full sized truck. I think it suffered because truck buyers tend to buy what they know. Toyota has been more prominent in the larger pickup market for longer while Nissan has been limited to mini-trucks.
