while searching for updated IEview extension at mozdev's extension room, i came across this new toy:
HTML validator (based on Tidy)
add that to web developer extension, plus a few others, and we'll be one step ahead of other web developers ,D
i installed them on mozilla 1.7.5, and they worked just fine. not sure about firefox since i don't have it on my computer.
in addition to validating HTML code, HTML validator also has the function to do code cleanup, and view the accessibility rating
when viewing source code, pressing ctrl-U will show/hide the validation result.
the downside with this extension is that it takes a bit longer to do view-source of pages, despite turning off the validation by default from the options.
so, what are other useful extensions that are used by web developers? other than IEview (to quickly open pages in msie), web developer extension (try out pages with various settings enabled/disabled), small screen rendering (to see how pages look like in small-screen browsers), and html validator?
by the way, a few months ago there was an extension called OperaView, which would open a page in Opera through right click > open in Opera, similar to IEView. i can no longer find the link to it. did the developer stop working on it? the latest version i have will give me "no bundle" error when i try to view source code in mozilla -(
