I think the most I ever had it was 2-3 times a week. It's easy, it's fast...I mean...

Now I think I only have it once or twice a month.

A fast food burger isn't so significantly different from one you make at home.

I'm strict gluten free, feed the kids like nuggets and fries, pretty strict on soda. we have food discussions and they see how wife and I eat pretty healthy. Both my kids are on the doctor ordered eat as many calories as possible diet.

I havent had anything like that in over 3 years.

The report is rather limited. I didn't see where they defined what they mean by "fast food".

Depends on the place I suppose. They add fat and salt every chance they get. Not many people butter their hamburger buns at home for example.

According to a recent CDC study 36% of American adults eat fast food every day. I know my eating habits suck but I'm not quite that bad. Race, age and income are all factors..

https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ns-eat-fast-food-daily-cdc-survey/1507702002/

I haven't eaten fast food in a long time. If I'm not cooking or my wife isn't cooking or one of my kids isn't cooking then we go to a restaurant and eat a proper meal.

I notice little difference in my meal times and when I shit. Are Americans eating too much of that green apple guick stuff?

Isn't that "eating to much shit to cause the green apple quick step"? ;)

Fast food is called fast food for a reason.
And, by the way.... whom ever originally came up with that term "fast food", his head in stone (bust) should be on Mount Rushmore.

Fast food is no surprise in this era of fast people.
We are always on the go. Our kids are always on the go. When the two collide the result is simple... fast food.

Fast food is set in stone within our society, and forever will be.
Not until an advancement comes along like in the cartoon show THE JETSON'S where fast food becomes even faster, until then fast food will be exactly that. Fast food.
The future will be not if we continue to have fast food, the future will be how fast can fast be?

Someone will devise a way to have fast food in the home, at the touch of a button.
I'm talking about home McDonalds machines, Taco Bell home machines, etc etc.
If you love McDonalds, why not install a mini McDonalds thingy within the home? Where McDonalds furnished the raw necessities to your door on a weekly basis.
The very same McDonalds hamburger in your very own kitchen at the touch of a button. Or... swipe of a credit card.
Set it right next to your toaster.....

What I would hope in the future is for fast food to become healthy food. Both fast and healthy.
Doubtful.... but would be nice.
Sadly, healthy is not cost effective. Crap is very cost effective and quite profitable.

Try LCHF or Keto, it works simply because you're never hungry. It's basically a lot of steak/pork/poultry and salad.

In about a month you can start doing a fasting diet where you eat all your food within six hours of the day and you'll still never be hungry. It certainly works.

I really got into mex food without the bread and a lot of salad and bell peppers of all kinds.

Fast food like McDonald's or Wendy's maybe once or twice a month. Fast casual like chipolte or panera maybe one a week. Cook at home the rest which is probably 85% of the time.

Just comes down to time usually.

He’s right and I never agree with Ichinisan.

No he is not, the variations when you make a burger at home are damn near endless. Low fat ground meat, high protein buns and home made dressing is not even CLOSE to what you'd get at a fast food place.

If we're talking about hamburgers you buy in a pack and bread you buy in a bag along with dressing from a tube then yeah but you didn't make that yourself, did you?

Who stays home, having the time to cook anymore?
Trickle down has squeezed everything out of our people. Including good life decisions, ain't got no time for that.
Feeding your kids? Raising your kids? That's what other people are for, right?

Get down on your knees and thank your corporate overlords for allowing you to work for them.

My understanding is that if you eat too many green apples it causes the green apple guick stuff, a remarkably fast food I am told.

In and Out May have been named for it.
