So in the past I have posted threads about crazy stuff happening at Staples in regards to shrink and or crazy customers. Well today was even a bigger WTF.
A couple of days ago, we lost THREE kodak printer bundles ($500 each). And just yesterday we lost a small canon photo printer ($150). I wondered if these people were stupid enough to sell them on ebay, and went searching. I found the same canon, w/out the box and the manual still sealed on ebay. The auction even has extra sealed film/paper included, so I was had him go count the inventory and see if any where missing. I then called my manager and he said to email him the link which I did. He said he might even buy the thing, ownage.
This is where the craziness begins though. On the phone, he was like "Were you here for the lady with the bolt cutters?!" I said no, I left at 5 p.m. He said that a random customer called him from the parking lot, saying that a lady WITH BOLTCUTTERS IN HER SKIRT was on her way into the store. Sure enough some lady with plenty of tatoos came in along with her husband. My manager followed them around and they headed right for digital cameras but of course didnt get anything. He then got her plate number and called the cops after they left.
Just when I thought the whole, lets steal things from Staples fad was over, it only greats worse 😛
