So I've been reading all "this" about the NForce2 motherboards. Are they better in terms of stability? Overclocking is also a nice feature to have along with IDE raid or even serial ata.

If your board, regardless of what it is, has stability problems, then that's to 99.999 percent probability not the mainboard's fault. Poor cooling, inadequate power supplies, and bad RAM are the #1 reason. Get them right, and you'll be happy ... get them wrong, and you won't - regardless of whether you spent $49 or $199 on the mainboard.

I have the Asus A7N8X and I am not complaining - first time in a really long time I have a board to really play with. Great board, loaded and stable except for one minor thing an occasional cold boot but I can live with that for now. Rock stable in WInXP. Running a 1700 Tbred A at 1920 (192 x 10)
Heard the Epox is also good.

hmmm, my system is real stable actually. But I think my 300watt Antec 303x might not be enough when I add an extra hard drive. So, I plan on upgrading to the Antec TruPower 330 power supply.

Well if your wondering... Lets just say ECS wont be making a Nforce 2 based motherboard. Since it isnt low quality chipset. I am not bashing ECS or the SiS 735 chipset which they made a KILLING with selling. But lets be honest, that mobo must had a lot of defects.

But I'd recommend the EPOX nforce 2 motherboard EP- RDA+

the Chaintech seems VERY nice though! TONS of free extras, reasonable price, and with the new BIOS we get multiplier support. All the other overclocking options offered seem great, not to mention the tons of voltages you can adjust throughout the board....

Seems like a kickass overclocker, and performs well against other top nforce2 boards.

plus how could you say no to free rounded cables and the Cbox2?
