OK, so I got a new SSD from Santa (X25-M 160GB SSD). I'm running WIndows 7 ultimate.

I just did my clean install.

I have a C:\ boot volume on the SSD, and my F:'Drive is a RAID 5 set.

The motherboard is an ASUS p5Q-e, so I'm running the Matrix RAID.

BIOS is set for RAID and I'm on the latest firmware.

Now, how do I get Trim to work? I can't see a way to get rid of the intel RAID controller without losing my RAID volume in the process. I have to set BIOS to RAID for it to work.

Also, are there any tweaks that I need to perform on the OS? So far I have done nothing.

If you're drive isn't already running the latest firmware, head over to Intel's site and grab the ISO to update to the latest (which enables the TRIM support).

AFAIK, TRIM & RAID will not work together at this point.

If I read the Intel description correctly, the Optimizer will work on their G2 SSD as long as the SSD is not in a RAID itself even though you are running in RAID mode.
