nah its fastest growing religion, nothing in that article suggest cultism. mostly just shows a loyalty to something beyond your comprehension.

I guess it depends on how you define "cult". I am too lazy to look it up but I am not sure that a few wierd beliefs would qualify the mormans as a cult. I don't agree with them in any way but still, not sure if they are a cult.

Looks like BYU-Idaho is going to have a top quality business program, and some whiners aren't happy about it.

Can we be tax exempt, too? And who would be our leader? I think you need to set up a poll. 😉

Hey, its my idea, I'm the leader. I had a thesis and everything written out about moderator worship.

1. A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
2. The followers of such a religion or sect.
3. A system or community of religious worship and ritual.
4. The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual.

Just looked up cult at dictionary.com and if you really think about it cult really refers to all religions. Generally considered to be extremist or false is extremely subjective. There are really several ways you can view the "mormons;" as a wierd religious group that you have no wish to associate with, a religious group you have great respect for, or a member of the mormon church. The same goes for any other religion. Making comments like, "This further proves mormons are a cult," is pretty harsh considering that I would not doubt that if the Pope were to do essentially the same thing the individual he selected would probably make the same decision.
