most of you probably already know, i hate living in the UK

here's some more reasons why from todays papers

1. Britains most violent and dangerous criminals are getting paid to.....wait for it.... play scrabble, learn guitar, go to the gym, look after fish, play table tennis etc. they get given credits for every 30mins of activities they do and they can use these to buy fags, toiletries, snacks. now this doesnt sound bad, but also they can send the credits home to their families to cash in... ie turn into real money.

who pays for this? the Tax payer, ie me

2. Gordon Brown, our chancellor..... has spent £56million on hotels and wining and dining for him and his chronies. i know the mans got a job to do, but £56 million on hotels is ludicrous. where did he get the £££ from? tax payer

3. Asylum seekers are to get free clown lessons, thats right, the Tax payer is gonna foot the bill again so clowns can teach balkland asylum seekers how to be clowns! great!

along with the £123 BILLION, yes 123 Billion pounds, the government has wasted on meaningless quangos like the herbal remedy advice group, and the english potatoe advice group. its shocking

123 billion is nearly twice as much money needed to sort out our ailing National health service. people from the rest of the world think its great....but you try getting a needed operation done within a year. if you do, your lucky. id rather go private, it'll cost more but the service will be there.

i dont mind paying taxes, so long as the gov spends it on useful stuff and stuff i can be proud of like military equipment, reliable and modern trains, a NHS that works, road systems that arent forever covered in cones and contra-flows. but i do mind paying taxes because our gov is wasting it.

Something about how in OUR prisons, they get 'em for free?

Not sure why you consider the last part of #1 "but also they can send the credits home to their families to cash in... ie turn into real money.", to be especially disturbing. Sounds like a good way to keep a prisoner having some Responsibility and might even help keep his/her family off of Welfare.

also i forgot to mention

when their cells got the decorators in, the inmates were allowed to chose the colour of the decor!

seriously no wonder the prisons are full, its much better than living on the streets, or on the dole

Sending money home to family is "living it up"?

You seem to have an erroneous view of what's going on (t)here. It's not a group of Chaps dressed in the latest seasonal colours enjoying an Iced Tea while discussing their last safari in Kenya. Prison is not a Resort in any sense of the word.

What would you rather have:

1) Prisoners living relatively normal lives, likely for the first time in many of these prisoners lives

2) Prisoners with nothing to do, attacking each other, grouping together for survival, growing more hardened and more likely to resort to violence.

well with this countries soft laws that enable peado's and murderers to be let out after about 5 minutes int' clink, i would actually want option one, even though it doesnt seem like much in the way of punishment for taking a life, so yeah your right.

but if the prison service was run properly, they'd never get out of prison and if they kill one another while theyre there then good ridance.

that way living on the dole is more attractive than going to prison to see out the rest of your life. where as here its the other way round.

and i know prison isnt a holiday resort, but if you live here you'll now its a lot more attractive than it should be

Yeah, prison has to be soft, otherwise all the dopeheads we send there will come out as murderers!:p

More reasons to hate the UK:
Censoring the word "ass" in Scrubs.
Blurring out guns in the music video for "Sandstorm" by Darude.
Blurring out and censoring half the content of "Gay Bar" by Electric 6.

well, not everyone in prison is a rapist or a murderer. people get convicted for other crimes too. Don't they have Maximum/Minimum security prisons (or a similar hierarchy) there, with different liberties for their inmates?

Rehabilitation is a good thing: you don't want years of prison to churn out frustrated, angered rabid animals.

This reminds me of The Shawshank Redemption: everybody is innocent in here:p

yeah there is different levels of imprisonment, shop lifting and drug related stuff usually gets a slap on the wrist and some community service, possibly with a tag on your ankle. and thats fine.

but this is the more serious guys, the guys who murder and rape etc, the guys who really shouldnt get any perks at all, and should never be released unless they're leaving in a wooden box.

i dont want prison to churn out people who went in as monsters, i want prison to keep them there till its time go 6ft under

oh and theres is alot more from the PC idiots

the last big hooha was this

the north of england, thats yorkshire, teesside, tyneside, wear side etch (york, middlesbrough, newcastle, sunderland) all have their own dialects and local sayings.

in newcastle its not uncommon to be called pet by older people etc. you know little sayings and unique ways of description that marks you/your area out, every where has them

but the political correctness brigade want to make it an offence to use age old sayings incase it offends some one. yes they want to change the way we speak, they way we've spoken for god knows how many years.

its just not on, interfering ****** wits
