I'm on my second MSI Neo2 Platinum board, and I've had memory problems upon memory problems. Here's my config:

AMD64 3500+
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum
eVGA 6800 GT
Antec TruePower 430 watt
I've tried two different types of ram: Corsair XMS PC3200 LLPT v1.1 Bh5 and Corsair XMS PC3200XL PRO

The brand new PC3200XL PRO won't post at all.

The PC3200 LLPT posted fine in dual channel on my first neo 2 board, but i had bsod's constantly. I assume it was do to voltage problems, but I never had a chance to test it because the CMOS went fubar. I rma'd the board and got a new one. My first neo2 was hardware revision 1.0, the new one is 1.1.

Now, on the new board, I cannot get either type of RAM to POST while in dual channel configuration. The XL PRO ram will not post at all. The LLPT ram posts only when it is in single channel configuration, and it runs fine at 2-2-2-5 200mhz in single channel. I've updated the board's bios and messed with timings trying to get it to POST in dual channel to no avail. The ram is runniung at 2.8v. I've tried 2-3-2-5, 2-3-2-10, 2.5-3-2-10, 2.5-3-2-5 timings all without success.

How would you guys proceed from here?? Any other recommendations for something to try? I've heard that the AMD64 chips have trouble with bh5 and samsung based memory, so I was thinking i could try ordering some Ballistix RAM since it uses micron chips. I could also try RMAing the motherboard again. Help!

Sounds like you tried everything, get the Ballistix, crucial guarantees compatibility.:)

Just an fyi.. I bought an Antec 430 PSU to replace a 360 Enlight I had when it wouldn't power my GeForce GT and MSI + 3200+ board, and it still didn't suffice. I then bought a 520w aspire PSU w/ 35 on the +12v rail and now my system is rock solid. I know Antec's are quality, but my own experience proved that the 430 wasn't enough w/ the GeForce 6800GT and A64.
