More Ram for new LCD?

I am about to get my first LCD. I was looking at the SAMSUNG 204BW Black 20" 6ms (see link below). Coming from a 17' CRT, and running a sempron 3200 with 512 RAM, and a ATI 9600 with 128 Ram, will I need to add more ram to run this monitor nicely?

I also play games and do some photoshop work, is this a good monitor? Thanks

Ps one more question: The monitor resolution (1650 x 1050) does not appear in my settings. Max I get is 1600 x 1200 with the next setting at 1440x900. Is this going to be a problem???

Not a problem about resolutions - you will see new resolution options when you plug in new monitor

Don't need more RAM for general work

Need to build whole new system to play games at native resolution 1680x1050

I would guess it's a decent monitor: "Last Month's Winner of Customer Choice Award - LCD Monitors"

BTW in 20" screen at 1680x1050 stuff will be kinda small; Consider getting a 22" screen for same price, but it only has 16.2mill colors

I will be buying a new 14' lappy soon with most likely a X1700, so I also wanted a nice monitor to hook up to it when working out of my office.

Where can you find a 22' monitor for $250? Also since my eye sight is not what it used to be, does decreasing the resolution affect a LCD viewing quality at all? Thanks

After reading a lot of reviews, I pulled the trigger on a Samsung 931 C from Newegg. The CCFL color range back lighting and 2ms gray to gray responce time did it for me!
