The irony is that the topic at hand could be worthy of discussion, but you've chosen to couch it in the troll-iest possible terms, and thus ensured that isn't possible.

I know many Republicans, and many Democrats and count members of both parties among my closest friends and most trusted peers. I take those who deserve it seriously, and my feelings on that have nothing to do with their partisan affiliation.

I'm more than willing to have serious conversations about politics with people who understand the issues and have the ability to view them from sides other than their own.

It doesn't seem to exist anymore.

That's quite presumptuous on your part. I dismiss people that deserve to be dismissed, such as most of this forum who seem to exist solely to beat the other side into submission and mock them at every opportunity. Here in the real world, people are just trying to live their lives as they see fit and politics is just a necessary evil to pursue that goal. I have friends of various political persusasions as well. They all have their problems in life, they simply believe in different paths to their goals.

It is even stranger that you have chosen to live in such a solidly Democratic city.
