For those that long for a return to civil discourse that loathe to see the direction our country is headed? Yeah, kinda.
The GOP leadership has succumbed to shameless greed & lust for power.

Walker has signed legislation weakening the powers of the Governor and Attorney General plus cutting back early voting in the state.

https://trib.al/GLFJf04

The state GOP has gerrymandered their districts to make it basically impossible to Democrats to win the legislature even if they win the popular vote by a large margin. It's arguable that, at least in part, WI could no longer be considered a democracy. Several other states (OH, NC, etc) also have moved to a place where electoral engineering by the party in power has made legislative branch elections almost meaningless.

This is why Republican party can no longer be fixed, it has to be destroyed.
Also, if the governed decide to withdraw their consent, I don't envy the GOP, since the seats of power are in Democratic strongholds.

Republicans, we can only win by cheating the people we were sworn to serve.

The GoP has been doing a good job of using their ill gotten powers to pack the courts with partisan hacks, so don't count on it.

I posted a rather strongly worded admonishment on Scott Walker's Facebook page, surprisingly it's still there as are a bunch of others. It's funny to read through the comments from the rubes that live in my state, the comments are hilarious, although what he did is not. I hope it's legally challenged and successfully, because it's bullshit, he a petulant little sore loser.

It's a very fine fuck you & farewell from Walker to his successor & to the voters. How in the world my conservative countrymen ever fell for scumbags like him is beyond my comprehension.

It's a rather glaring slight to the will of the People that he would sign away powers for his successor that he exercised during his own term in office for no other reason than the People chose his successor from a different political party.

I wonder what recourse residents of the state have because they can't sue since the courts have been packed, they can't vote them out since they've Gerrymandered the districts.

So what exactly can be done? Can the federal government step in somehow?

"Elections matter"
Republicans are just fixing the laws to make sure they matter a little bit less to Democrats. It's a damn shame.

In case you missed it, the Republicans lost the election, and that's why they're "fixing the laws." But it's no surprise to see you still have no morality or respect for American values.

Disgusting there are so many corrupt and broken people in the republican party. Unless the courts step up and stop this madness Wisconsin is officially a failed state, a mini banana republic where party affiliation determines what form of democracy and rule of law you get. What an absolute shame. People should be warming up tar and breaking out feathers over this - republicans just told Wisconsin voters to go fuck themselves, that they don't feel losing an election should matter.

Nothing to worry about.. If Trump can change the Constitution by executive order, (he thinks) so can the incoming Governor(s).

They can undo all the damage the Republicants do

Not if the Governor positions are stripped of their power and the legislatures are gerrymandered safe.

That would be akin to stripping the president of his executive powers, which would clearly be a violation not only of the Constitution, but also the separation of powers concept.

Separation of Powers applies to state governments as well as the federal government.

It might be. But the Supreme Court now has a republican majority to bless it. It's starting to all come full circle.

Don't think for one second that it will come back to haunt them.

The main reason Republicants don't want Donny playing with the 13th and 14th amendments by Executive Order, is because they know that when a Democratic president gets in, the first thing he's going to do is wallpaper the Second Amendment with executive orders. Eventually, it will be illegal to own a potato gun.

Republicants may be dumb, but they're not stupid.

It's been said, that once you open a can of worms, you always need a larger can to get them all back in.
