Which is worse? A lawmaker asking if there is a way to take a pill to examine internal organs or a whole group of lawmakers invoking the names and images of dead children in order to pass a bill that would not have prevented those children from dying?

Big difference the Democratic party has never adopted positions based on those statements.

GOP has pushed legislation that questions a woman's rape claim.
GOP has pushed legislation that would outlaw one of the most common forms of birth control
GOP has passed laws for state sponsored rape (forced vaginal ultrasounds)

I agree with you....I'm just saying him saying something stupid isn't new or a rare event for politicians.

The bigger problem is that he (and the GOP) is once again trying another end-run around Roe v Wade.

Maybe because of any things you call stupid Dems have said concerning gun control the only things Dems have proposed are expanded background checks, mental health reform and stop people from running around with 100 round clips.

BTW - these are supported by an overwhelming majority of people and a plurality of Republicans. No where near fringe.
