I just got a Bonzi Buddy popup and the only things I have running are my work programs (definitely not internet related) and Anandtech. Anyone else just get this?

Probably a cascading popup from the last porn site you visited. You have to click that X VERY quickly.

No, I've just heard about them.:) Actually, I run in them them a lot at free font and graphics sites. They've adopted the same damned, annoying strategy as porno sites. They are all linked to each other and use the cascading popups.:(

we had the same stupid popup problem at school;
  1. make sure bonzibuddy.com is not your home page
  2. fallow these steps and make sure it is not installed
How do I remove/uninstall the free version of BonziBUDDY?
It is a five-step process to remove BonziBUDDY. Please follow these instructions carefully.
  • Click on Bonzi to open his menu screen and choose "Goodbye."
  • Right click on the dollar sign icon next to your clock and choose "Exit."
  • Go to Start > Programs > BonziBUDDY > Uninstall BonziBUDDY Bargain Hunting Tool. Allow the uninstall program to finish.
  • Go to Start > Programs > BonziBUDDY > Uninstall BonziBUDDY. Allow the uninstall program to finish.
  • Restart your computer.

Don't have it installed. I have never heard of it before. I am using a governament computer that is locked down pretty good and when I got the message I had just turned my computer on and went straight to Anandtech...oh well, haven't seen it today so no big deal :)
