That 4x4 leaning against the small tower will be one of three which will form the underside of a gangplank, and the dog is my English Springer Spaniel

Tomorrow I hope to have a climbing wall and the gangplank on. This week I'll construct the beam for the swing and get that aloft. Last thing will be the roof over the primary tower.

Oh, then I get to paint it. That sucks.

It has been likened to a gallows, but I'll be careful not to tie any nooses in any ropes.

One time out in the woods I found a tiny little wooden step ladder and some rope that someone had left from when they were deer hunting. It had been there for years and was pretty rotten, but I had a stroke of genius and it served my purposes. I made the rope into a noose and hung it from a branch above the little step ladder. It looked pretty freaky when I was done. I love leaving little presents like that for people.

pretty nice. i would build something like that but my backyard barely fits a bbq grill.

I've painted wolmanized, but you have to let it weather a couple of months to let the moisture out or the paint'll bubble and peel.

It would be much easier to use a stain, preferably an opaque stain.
