More PC woes... Need some help

Recently I've been having some trouble with my computer. I was having trouble with it detecting all my memory, it would reboot randomly, and I would sometimes recieve an error saying "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: System32\drivers\ntfs.sys". I ended up buying an EPoX EP-8rda+ motherboard, which fixed the random rebooting and memory detection problems, but sometimes it will randomly crash to a BSoD (blue screen of death) and when I attempt to restart, I get the "Windows could not start because the file is missing or corrupt: System32\drivers\ntfs.sys" error. The error I get on the BSoD says that the problem seems to be caused by the Win32k.sys file. I'm thinking this may be a hard drive problem, but before I go out and buy a new one, I want to see what some of you think.

my system specs are:
1.4 Athlon T-bird
Epox EP-8RDA+
512 PC2100 Crucial ram
PNY Geforce3 Ti500
Windows XP Sp1

What memory voltage are you using, and what power supply do you have? The 1.4GHz Tbird is one of the most demanding CPUs AMD has made, in terms of power consumption. Also, you might want to download your HDD maker's diagnostic utility, make a diagnostic diskette, and do a thorough diagnostic of your HDD. If you're using fancy rounded cables, try a boring flat brand-new 80-wire IDE cable too.

he he , that would be like leaving the pop out of popcorn. could just be bad memory. might want to try memtest too.

It's a 350w powersupply, I don't know the manufacture off hand, but i'll check that out in a bit.
