I just read an articel on Tomshardware.com about cooling the Athlons. The article states that the Athlons can only hold a hewatsink thats about 300 grams. Somewhere i read that the slk900 is far too heavy for an Athlon. And in other places i've read that the fan wont fit on an A7N8X which is what i have. If this is true, what would be the next best solution? Sound and price do not bother me. I'm sorry if this has been asked before but any help would be appreciated.

Scientists say it's impossible for bumblebees to fly, too :D Don't believe everything you read, the guys at Swiftech proved that their extremely heavy MCX462 is not dangerous to the CPU. How did they prove it...? They threw a MXC462-equipped computer out the second-story window. :) Think I'm kidding? Seeing is believing! :D

(from here :D)

edit: physical fit on an A7N8X-Deluxe is a separate question and may depend partly on how close your PSU is to your motherboard.

I am thinking of getting this sink and would like to know if it fits on the Soyo KT333 Dragon Lite.

Or how close the row of capacitors are to the socket. That is more often the case. After checking the motherboard compatibility listing it looks like there are some issues with putting it on an A7N8X Deluxe motherboard.
