CBS this morning provided great cover for Obama once again.

According to CBS, Obama's spying programs are getting 'major' and 'sweeping' changes.

Reality - Obama changed nothing.

Liberals - media is not biased.

They also talked about the typhoon- it was caused by global warming.

But once again, no bias in the msm non at all.

This must mean that you have access to highly classified documents that show that "nothing" has changed.

The only other possibility is that your don't know jack and decided to just post a claim without a shred of hard evidence to back it up. But you would never do that, would you?

So the real changes are too secret to tell the public? But not so secret that CBS news was told?

PS they just parroted the crap that Obama told the public.

And what Obama announced yesterday changed NOTHING.

Reality has a liberal bias. If you don't like it, I'd suggest the world of Equestria over the rather ridiculous conservative worldview. Conservatardism just seems to make you conservatards grumpy.

You wouldn't know reality if it came up and bit you in the ass.

reforms generally mean keeping the status quo rather than reduction or repeal... remember the bankruptcy reform acts under bush? remember all the proposed health care reform proposals? remember reagan's tax reform act? remember Lyin' ryan's medicare reform proposals? just askin':)

anyway, obama has to use authoritarian policies to beat the CIA (so he doesnt suffer a fate worse than JFK did) and i wish rand paul wasnt pre-destined to lose the electoral vote to hillary clinton... the last man of the people, the last incorruptible and true representative of these States united in America, Ron Paul M.D. will not only conclude that America will never be restored, but the totally amoral hillary clinton will actually be the one to cheat his son of the presidency. the Wilsonians will then be eating their words about the popular vote and democracy as Ron Paul is one of only three people who ever held public office in the trust of the united States to be true incorruptible Jeffersonian democrats... Ron Paul is the spiritual son of Martin Van Buren and Martin Van Buren is Thomas Jefferson's spiritual son while Woodrow Wilson was the second coming of George Washington and Hillary Clinton will be the Final beast.

it is most unfortunate that bad luck hits the best people and lies serve the evil people who become the State.

Republicans and Democrats are two sides of the same coin on the issue of the NSA...

Both of them support/supported the Patriot Act and all that came with it.

Time to wake up and stop sleepwalking to the pied piper tune the two parties are playing.

He's a troll. Notice how he didn't even bother to address the OP but just decided to attack you.

I doubt obama will do anything about the NSA since he only started talking about it when Snowden exposed him.

Admitting you got nothing and can't refute the OP so just trying to downplay the thread.

Are you accusing me of downplaying the existentially important event of some talking head on TV calling Obama's NSA reform "Major" and "Sweeping?"

Obama draping the banner of change over the NSA status quo.
As the ACLU's executive director Anthony Romero said after the speech:

The president should end – not mend – the government's collection and retention of all law-abiding Americans' data. When the government collects and stores every American's phone call data, it is engaging in a textbook example of an 'unreasonable search' that violates the constitution.

That, in general, has long been Obama's primary role in our political system and his premiere, defining value to the permanent power factions that run Washington. He prettifies the ugly; he drapes the banner of change over systematic status quo perpetuation; he makes Americans feel better about policies they find repellent without the need to change any of them in meaningful ways. He's not an agent of change but the soothing branding packaging for it.

As is always the case, those who want genuine changes should not look to politicians, and certainly not to Barack Obama, to wait for it to be gifted. Obama was forced to give this speech by rising public pressure, increasingly scared US tech giants, and surprisingly strong resistance from the international community to the out-of-control American surveillance state. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/17/obama-nsa-reforms-bulk-surveillance-remains
