www.mdmarkdata.com

The retailer above seems to have some decent deals on memory. Not surprisingly, the shipping is $12 ground - but it seems to be $12 for any number of sticks (went to checkout with 2 sticks, but canceled right before finishing)

I haven't bought from them before, nor are they listed on resellerratings.com, so, as always, be a little cautious when dealing with them.

Here's most of what they are selling :
Spectek 64MB PC100 - $39
Micron 64MB PC133 - $51

Spectek 128MB PC100 - $79
Micron 128MB PC133 - $102
Siemens 128MB PC133 - $93

It appears Spectek (www.spectek.com) is a division of Micron, so should be pretty decent "generic" for the price. There is also a review of the Spectek PC100 ECC here :
www.hardwarezone.com/reviews/others/Spectek128/spectek-pc100.htm
showing it to be a good performer.

Would any of this memory work in an Athlon 750 Slot A system? Not sure which mobo I'll be using yet.

Excellent pricing. Now, here's my question..........

I've seen memory sold as Micron even though it was assembled by Powermem. Had Micron chips on the board.

Does this Spectek memory have a Micron part number? Example is MT18LSDT1672AG-66284 for a 128 MB ECC memory. This is just an example to show you a Micron part number. Crucial part numbers start with a CT.

Or are there Micron DRAMs on the module?

Visited the Spectek site and they seem legit enough. Maybe a good deal. I love Micron memory. It rocks. Made in USA also.

I tried to order some memory from them before. They cancelled my order for some reason and didn't bother to tell me until I e-mailed them to ask what was up.

Just a word of warning

I recently bought 2 Micron PC133 dimms from them, and I would never buy memory from them again. They are very helpful, but they seemed to have sent me the wrong memory. They told me it was Micron PC133 Cas2, but it wont run at 133 FSB or Cas2. I now really wonder what kind of memory they shipped me, because the sticker says Micron, so be carefull if you order from them.Text
