Absolutely! He should do the right thing and resign! Like Reagan did!
Yes, you're right: I was an ardent political supporter of Reagan into senility. He got out of office when I was nine years old. Maybe you should step down before you walk too far down that path yourself.

Re: You last sentance in the above post - Sure looks likes a Mod call-out, and those are against the rules. When Mods are posting as members just don't bring their Mod status into the discussion. It's irrelevent anyway. Consider yourself warned.

Aren't the left the ones who go apeshit when anyone does anything remotely disrepectful toward Obama? I think a high ranking Admiral should be given the same respect. If this was truly a joke it was disrespectful toward our military.. but thats par for the course for progressives.

I think you mean "talking heads," not "the left." Plenty of the left's tv personalities flip out when people disrespect Obama. Plenty of the right's tv personalities flipped out when anyone criticized Bush.

Among real people, I don't know any democrats who even like Obama very much anymore and I don't know any republicans who thought Bush was worth a second thought.

Johnson sounded nuts but he wasn't the only one with such a crazy idea. Early last century, a prominent scientist or a group of prominent scientists argued that people keep building more sky-scrappers in lower Manhattan eventually will tip that island. They even devised a a plan to vertically split Manhattan into 2 halves in case the downtown area sank it would not pull uptown below with it.

False

Though I did read that when building skyscrapers, they remove bedrock for the foundation that is about the weight of the building going up.

I wish I knew what a "standard liberal Democrat" was. Last I knew the GOP was the only party that marched in lockstep.

The Congressman's statements, to me at least, are an overly wordy badly expressed attempt at sarcasm. I'm roughly the Congressman's age, same educational level, and I know none of my contemporaries (right or left) that would honestly believe an island can tip over. Frankly, I don't think even a pea brain like Michelle Bachmann would believe that.

This thread is an amazing grasp at straws. Although I did greatly admire the general for giving such a fast, comprehensive response with a straight face.

Standard Liberal Democrat = The majority of posters in the Soap Box.
If you think the GOP is the only party that marches in lockstep, why have so many former GOP supporters turned away from the GOP towards the Tea Party?
Anyone that tries to defend this moron's question is equally stupid. Listen to the audio. The guy was dead serious in his question. If he was not he should be given an Academy Award for greatest actor of all time.
