Hello,

I am really sorry to bother everyone with this, but I was hoping for some clarification on the L7VMM3.
Firstly, someone named Peter said you must have the 12volt 4 pronged processor connected to have this motherboard function - is that a definite (The VCore Power Connector)? It will not work without it? Secondly, it's a 3100+, is this actually going to run at 3100Mhz / 3.1Ghz? I know the regular AMD processors run at their equivalent speed when compared to Intel processors [Ie. a P4 2Ghz is equal to an AMD 2000 (Even though it runs at 1.6Ghz or something)]. I'm sorry to plague with you guys with such "Simplistic questions", but I would really like to know, heh. I would test it myself, but I do not have the board yet and I am impatient, heh :)

VERY appreciatively,
Steven

Hey! Yes, You must connect the 4-prong connector for this Board to operate. If your power supply does not have one, you could get an adapter, or a new Power Supply with the 4-prong connector will do.
Secondly, the 3100+ will not operate at 3100Mhz, but about 1800Mhz. Very misleading but about on par with Intel's scheme. I hope this helps, I'm still having trouble trying to get my 3100 to recognise a HardDrive.....If any body can give ME a clue I'd sure appreciate it! CrAzY!

Note, as we analyzed in length in the original thread (why didn't you stick to it?), the "Pro" ratings are quite overinflated. The "Pro3100A+" model actually uses a desktop Athlon XP 2000+ (running its natively intended speed of 1666 MHz on 133 MHz bus).
