Intel Announces Executive Promotion

SANTA CLARA, Calif., April 28, 2016 – Intel Corporation today announced that Diane Bryant has been promoted to executive vice president. Bryant has been leading Intel’s Data Center Group (DCG) as general manager and senior vice president since 2012.
Who knew...

The announcement comes shortly after CFO Stacy Smith got (will get) another position at the company and some lay-offs of employees (12k) and management (CCG Kirk Skaugen, IoT Doug Davis, and mobile something from Infineon). Also comes after QCOM Murthy got in and Aicha Adams signed off but then got persuaded by BK. That's about it.

I'm sure there's going to be plenty more change coming. Intel appears to be really trying to reposition itself.

We'll see if the dinosaur can mutate and survive.

I meant Hermann Eul.

And don't forget Bill Holt's retirement: http://www.oregonlive.com/silicon-forest/index.ssf/2016/02/intels_longtime_manufacturing.html. He got an award last year: http://www.eetimes.com/author.asp?section_id=189&doc_id=1328346.

So there's a lot of moving parts within Intel.
