Just recieved my AXIA 266 T-Bird (1G). I'm very happy with it however, does anyone have any information on the blue core or the AXIA-D stepping T-Bird? It looks to me as though the L1 and L2 Bridges are locked, but have always read that all AXIA's are unlocked? Thank you in advance for your information!

its simple to unlock. just connect the pairs using a mechanical pencil. .3mm will be easier to connect the L1 then the .5mm pencils.

i know this can be found anywhere but i just got confused.

i just got a 1 ghz axia. as far as i can tell it's locked.

SO, to unlock it so i can adjust the multiplier setting with the motherboard (epox 8k7a DDR). i have to connect ALL the L1 bridges?

just need to know what to connect to unlock the thing.

thanks

Yes all the bridges have to be connected. its really not that hard, just try not to let the bridges touch each other, that could cause a problem. using a magnifying glass would probably help......i used conductive paint and a fine tip brush and did it w/out any magnification. it wasnt really that hard.

design girl all that needs to be connected are the L1 bridges to unlock the multiplier settings. from there you can adjust in bios/on mobo.;)

Thanks for all of the help - yes my friend had bought a 1.33 AXIA and it was unlocked - unfortunatly mine was not - I can easily unlock it with the suggestions above (thanks for the tips), I was just curious about the AXIA mystery. I had thought that all were unlocked but with all the other people who replied (and the one's who also bought one that was not unlocked) I know that to be false. Thanks again for all of your help it is greatly appreciated.
