Wow, looks like they've modified the GFX engine since last I saw. Look'n good. Is it still slated for a nov release?

Also, I didnt know that the cars can take damage. I thought that wasnt allow due to contract negotiations with the car makers. If its in, yay!

I reaaaaaly hope they allow damage. Otherwise the racing just isn't as fun.
And AFAIK, it is still on schedule for late Nov.

Anything for PC?

Didn't think there was any hardware diff between PS2 and PSTwo except the lack of hard drive support. This game will work on the older PS2's too with all the same graphics. They re-wrote their graphics engine.

It's a damn shame there's not a good steering wheel controller available on Xbox. Looks like I'm getting GT4 and a Logitech wheel for myself this Christmas, that is if I can hold out that long...

The PS2 DOESN'T have the graphics capability shown in some of those pics. I checked those out last night, and I hate when companies do this. The screenshots you see are of a much much much higher resolution than the PS2 is capable of, and typically, AA and AF are turned on in the pics. Most likely, those pics are from a workstation that is used to render the graphics. I don't understand why all companies mislead those gamers not in the know.

Just be rest assured, the final game will not look that sharp and crisp, nor will it have the lighting that is present. The game will look great though.

Warcrow, I'm not quite sure that car is damaged. Upon first glance, it looks like it's completely fvcked up. But upon closer inspection, everything looks like it should, except for whatever is on the hood and back of the car. Maybe it ran over something? But I seriously doubt it's damage.

There's supposed to be a photo mode in GT4 where you can compose and take still shots that are higher quality than normal gameplay. Since they're just still photos they can use the power of the processor(s) to render much higher quality than real-time gameplay screens. This is definitely not gameplay.

But still, these look better than anything you would see on a standard TV.

Actually, those images are 640x480, which I believe is within the PS2's capabilities. As for the lighting I'm not sure. I could see the PS2 being capable of those graphics though.

Yea, the game will be heavily optimized for the PS2's proprietary hardware. It's possible that it looks that good. I don't know about the anti-aliasing though.
