OK...heres another one. I have a problem meeting girls. Alot of this surrounds my current social group and career. I am 22. 95 percent of my friends are far away at college. I have 3 major friends that live in town. 2 of them are a couple and the other is my roomate. I work with people much older than me, most of which are moarried, the others are old computer nerds. I dont meet girls at work, because they are are 30 + years old. My 2 friends that date are not interested in socially interacting with anyone else, like we all did in high school. My roomate just broke up with his girlfriend and doesnt want to meet anyone right now. I cannot just go to some club..alone..and pick up girls. That never works! What can I do ?

LOL he's not going to pick up girls his age in the supermarket. :D

I don't know, that's rough. I wouldn't know what to do in your shoes either. Most girls i meet are either from work/school/ or friends.

if you go to school enroll in a co-ed soccer or basketball class. It helps branch out plus it is real fun. A real dorky guy did the same this past semester.... he hooked up with alot of new people. Not that your dorky or anything! :D:eek:

Things like that which help you branch out will get you out of your current situation. Try it!

I have an expensive Car and HOuse! I have close friends, I just dont see them alot cause most of them dont live here. I am not happy...I want a girlfriend...and I dont WORK with any, my friends here dont care to meet any, and wont accompany me to some bar to try!

dude, you have a fat wallet. Mission 1 has been completed. Now for mission 2, meet the chicks. I think it's a pretty good thing to establish financial security before you really got serious about the chicks...

I thought the money would have the girls lining up..but I dont even meet them to relay the fact that I have money TO them. My problem is meeting them in the first place. I never am thrust into any situations with women.

Take the inititive and go get into something! a church or volunteer work or even a job at Macy's! girls that work behind the make-up counters are usually pretty hot! :D

Change your usual pattern of life, there are numerous community groups to look into like soccer clubs and things like that. Recreational activities are everywhere. But you need to put yourself in that position. Besides, going to bars and trying to meet women isn't all its cracked up to be, that type of environment has too much pressure and competition. Keep that in mind.

Good choice.

And I think it's better for them not to know that you have money when you first meet them.

ditto on the volunteering ideas. If you want to meet new people, you must expand the effort.

Get involved in your community groups and clubs.

In another thread, didn't you say that in High School you used to have sex with all the hot girls? How is that a nerd?

Hi,
I would echo some of the advice above. You'll have to look outside your normal 'haunts' to meet people, given your work environment and preferences. This is not easy. You'll also have to get involved in activities in which you might not ordinarily be involved. This is also not easy.

Summary: Not easy.

Worth it? I'd say yes. It was a difficult thing for me to do, and ultimately led to a wife of 17 years and two kids (note: I consider these POSITIVE things. ;) )

But, perhaps the question should be, why do you want to meet women? Do you want to settle down? Do you just want 'one night stands'? Only you can answer that.
