What blew my mind as a non-US outsider is the utter remorselessness the perpetrators showed, until death.

Even if you somehow justify this behaviour because of supremacist beliefs, why would you want to live next to someone prepared to engage in this type of sick behaviour?

Different time than now. I agree that even in old age none appeared to show any remorse except maybe the woman who was involved. I think I read something a few years ago where she said she let it escalate too much and too quickly.

Wonder what they can do now that the admitted guilty parties are dead? Rule that their descendants must be sterilized?

The woman who made the false accusation is, I believe, still alive. Possible charges against her? More likely, nothing will come of it.
