I have the 50mm kit lens and for some of these he used my Canon EF Ultrasonic 100-300 (f4.5-5.6 USM)

how much did u pay for that cam?

i want to get a cam that I can get quality shots when i go to ball games.

you can get the digital rebel for 600-700 bucks...

but the lens is where the real money is invested. if you are going to be shooting ball games you're going to need a long telephoto which can run anywhere from $400 (for a cheap good one) to $1800 (for the 70-200 F2.8 IS). Heh, even that isn't that expensive when you look at the 400mm and 600mm primes that can run over 6k

anyways, i have a Digital Rebel ($900 when it came out), 17-40L $700, and 28-300 Tamron ($400 bucks) and I'm itchin' for more stuff daily

I bought mine from Dell, ended up paying about $1350 between the Rebel XT kit, the 100-300 USM lens form Canon and the extra two year warrantee from Dell + shipping costs.

Well worth it!
