This will drive the cost up amongst the remaining vehicles by a certain amount

Wonder how the rebuild will turn out.
Think Porsche 959, a number of which have been lost, all the remaining cars are $1 million plus in value. Not bad for a car that cost $225,000 when new. Long, long ago I read about a wrecked 959 that was made into a convertible. It was in a weird oversized UK magazine. Pretty cool, that car was way ahead of it's time, 444hp from a 2.8l, 6-speed, AWD, etc.
The Veyron is truly the next-gen supercar to take that baton with full authority. There have been a lot of other nifty 'supercars' between the 959 and Veyron, but nothing so technically superb.
