More deaths in Iraq...

The fierce debate in Washington over funding U.S. troops in Iraq continues. Meanwhile, a car bomb attack has killed 17 people and wounded 26 near a health clinic and mosque south of Baghdad, U.S. military announced 10 soldier deaths, and multi-national forces report the capture of a senior al-Qaida leader linked to deadly vehicle bombings, as well as two other suspects, during a raid in Baghdad. VOA's Michael Bowman reports.

Bush... No it's not working... We need a new plan... How many more need to die?

Isn't he the commander and chief? Isn't this his war? Get a clue... We are there because he thought it was a good idea....

I guess you get a kick out of seeing people die?

Anal cyst? That's what kept Cheney out of Vietnam.

No, it was Limbaugh who had the anal cyst. If I recall correctly Cheney had a couple of deferements. Guick google check shows five deferements and:

On Oct. 6, 1965, the Selective Service lifted its ban against drafting married men who had no children. Nine months and two days later, Mr. Cheney's first daughter, Elizabeth, was born. On Jan. 19, 1966

Did Cheney Dodge The Draft 5 Times?

Talk about working it.

Then you too can join that other army close to more numerous than US troops---the plague of US contractors looting Iraq---after our civil war southerners affectionately called them carpetbaggers---and you too can join that other army---no medical exam required---when will you be leaving to go to Iraq so you can do your bit?---or are you shrug---trying hard enough
to do your bit for God, Country, and corporate greed?

I currently have app with several contractors, including Haliburton, now that you mention it. Not much Cisco engineers can do over there though. At least until more infrastructure is rebuilt. Im crossing my fingers though :D

iraq oil contracts going to china and india primarily, not us. shut up with the profit crap. its simply untrue. and unfortunatley, Muslim killers don't care about killing on Easter, or any day of the year for that matter. what's more, you guys probably don't care, seeing as how these soldiers are volunteers, meaning they volunteered to go to war in iraq. this is not bush's war, this is their war, and its our war. what are you contributing to the cause besides perpetually moaning about it? nothing.

WHo says I need to contribute anything? It's not my war, I think only an idot would invade a country that didn't have a large percentage of it's inhabitants asking... no make that begging us to.

Our soldiers volunteered to protect this country, not to invade and creat democracies in places that obivously could care less about it. Where are all these volunteers who are willing to support this war? Why did the Pentagon have to change the deployment rules so it could send the National Guard units that HAVE ALREADY SERVED A TOUR back already?

Maybe not, but it will sure erode their support here at home and across the world. Glad to see the Pope on the same page as the American voters.

You're the one that posted the rather morbid "Happy Easter" sub-title.

War is morbid. Even moreso when it's for false pretenses.
