four times 512MB == 4GB???
 
in the commercial world (pisses me off to no end) they always quote disk storage based on the drives physical rather than potential!

12 TB ALL IN ONE STORAGE SERVER! (disk 1 and 2 in raid-1 for windows storage server); 3-12 are in raid-5 for less than 12TB usable.

marketing gimmicks that suckahs will buy.
