More counter strike problems

Under Win2k I get this error "This OpenGL video mode is not supported by your video card." I have a Geforce 2 Pro. I'm running the 7.52 drivers. I have installed SP1 but not direct x 8.0a. I'm trying to just run the normal Open Gl, I'm sure its not the 3dfx mini driver. What is wrong? I have tried a couple other drivers versions, the 6.32's ect and none of them worked. Any ideas?

Are you able to open up other games that require OpenGL, such as Quake3?

Yes I can play tribes and quake 3

just a hunch. try installing counterstrike after you reinstall the new drivers. if that doesn't work, i have no clue. good luck.
