Alright. Got the issue resolved and replaced the PSU.
Computer worked with test PSU prior to new purchase.
I placed the motherboard and new psu in the case, turns on, fans spin, etc, but no video.
Took motherboard out of the case and put on cardboard, still no video. What now? 🙁
Thanks

Are the specs listed in your signature the computer that's having the problem? I did make a big list of causes of no-POST/no-run and you can find that on this page, the first link on that page.

Ok gotch'er PM....... 😉

Can you get BIOS screens?? (i.e. do you see the initial boot screen that shows mobo and do you have the option to go into "setup"??)

If you pulled the PSU long enough and your CMOS battery is weak, it could've reset your setup options and you'd have to set those properly for your bus/memory/cpu speeds to get back to botting into windows. (I fought this with my Gigabyte mobo recently).

If you can get into setup, take a look around & see if it looks like things aren't set at the right speeds.

Also, a quick/simple trick would be to reseat the video card......(if you haven't already)??

let's see.... no bios screen
reset the bios before the problem and it booted so that's not the issue
and yes, reseated video card MANY times

Sorry, been runnin' all over the place today and only made one stop in here to get "schooled" on sunglass lenses.......(pathetic, I know).........soooo........

One thought I had was..........Can you put your bf's PSU back in there again & see if it boots up??? Or have you aleady done that and it won't???
