Treasury Secretary admits that the President's budget is completely unsustainable over the next 10 years, as designed.

When I heard the president in his press conference say that by 2015, we would no longer be adding to the national debt, I happened to be looking at the consolidated chart which showed that indeed, we continued to add to it each year. I am glad that somebody is calling him out on his bullshit. Pretty disgusting hearing people try to spin it like this budget takes us anywhere near where we need to go.
On top of that, any casual analysis of the budget makes it pretty evident that even the current projections, which are pretty dismal, are based on the rosiest of economic forecasts, with little reduction in spending, and all future deficit "reductions" coming in the form of higher projected tax revenues.
I suppose my spending in the form of credit card debt far beyond what I can afford isn't a problem, since I plan on getting a big fat raise in a few years.
