Maybe the media has "got its groove back" and is starting to realize the function they once served in our system of government. Maybe the fourth estate is no longer content being lapdogs.

The mainstream media is owned and controlled by the same billionaire elites and corporations who put our politicians in office. Any major criticism you see regarding a politician or political party is very carefully calculated to produce a desired result. In other words, it's all marketing. The media will even go to the trouble to strategically market the idea that they are hostile to a given politician, only to champion that same politician later on. This is so you'll carry on believing that the media is impartial, split in their support for the two parties, and capable of getting "its groove back".

It's important to understand that under our true system of government (corporatocracy), and not the fake, long-departed version of government the American people still believe exists (constitutional republic), the media and the government are both equally apparatuses of the State. They both work for the ruling class and corporations who control them. In this sense, the mainstream corporate media is really like an unofficial ministry of propaganda.

The media has no choice but to be lapdogs.
