Articles like this make me appreciate direct honesty in good hardware reviews and not speculations that "something is wrong with the benchmarking"


Especially the FPU benchmark. From what I have seen at more credible sites, the p4 fpu blows.

Hell, it barely gets past the p3.
Maybe some of it is optimization but come on. All but one test?

Note, I'm not an AMD nut either. Sure I own a Tbird but I would enjoy a good Intel chip as well.

Ok, I am speechless. What a load of @$#$#$#@$@ :| It is annoying how he keeps refereing to unoptmized benchmarks! Arrgghhh!! No duh! thats today apps! and the P4 is not good for todays apps. Maybe 6 - 9 months down the road it will be different. But we will have to wait and see.

At least he suggest the Athlon for now still.
