Well...After much thought and contemplating, I've decided to go with the eVGA 6800 GT from Newegg.com for $429 (shipping included). One part of me wants to wait and see if my local Best Buy will have the BFG in stock, but I decided to go ahead and try the eVGA cause its available now. I guess if I'm not happy with the eVGA, I can always E-Bay it and get my money back.

$29 MORE than a BFG, and only a 1 year warranty? I call that a rip off...

I had nothing but trouble with the eVGA's in the 6800 series.. No trouble at all with the BFG's. I'd hold out if I were you, those eVGA's seem to have trouble OC'ing.

Well, I've had my BFG since Friday afternoon, but Charley promptly knocked out our power that night, so not many miles being put on the card this weekend...

you got to take into account availbility, i would have bought a bfg, but i could find none in stock online at a decent price and the nearest compusa and best buy are over 120 miles away from me. then all of a sudden, gamve offers a xfx 6800GT for $400 and i snatch it up and love it.
