more BF2 EuroForce woes

finally got a copy, installed it, fired up BF2, went to play with the new maps and tanks n ****** and i get told i need to have BF2 Euroforce expansion pack installed to play!

the maps are quite clearly selectable in the single player area, and i have indeed installed it in the right directory, but i still cant play the bastard

how am i gunna get round this?

I don't personally have it but I've read that you sometimes have to re-install BF2, then SF/EF, then patch it. I've only spent $45 on BF2 so far and I might get SF if it hits $20. Until then, I can't personally tell you that that solution works.

did you register your player name with the software? i had to click on something in the EA installer and type in my name twice, apparently it "registers" the game to your account name or something. i do have SF installed, but i don't think that should make a difference.

i made a different account up when i posted for tech support (which basically admitted to the problem i was having and told me they werent gonna do alot about it.....better than being ignored i guess) because i couldnt remember the password i used in the game

by the way because i couldnt buy it direct from EA, ie their billing service is a bit ****** with solo/switch debit cards, and since i dont have any other card except my switch card i bought a copy of euro force off of ebay for £3.99 from a guy who had similar problems and ended up downloading 5 copies
