There should be more avatars! Too many users, too little avatars. Too many repeats and no individuality. Or we should be allowed to us custom avatars.

Customization can lead to abuse.

Yes, avatars are nice, but don't take them for granted. If you want to be individual, use one of the women one's, few people use those.

I'm *trying* to work on it, but I need approval from Jason before we can discuss it. :(

No one really uses this old man that I'm aware of, which is why I switched to it. If you make a reputation under a certain avatar, when people see it they'll think it's you anyway, much like ElFenix and the crab, or Brutuskend and the brown-haired guy with the goatee.

I don't have a problem with custom avatars as long as the forum software can restrict file size and dimensions.

You can have an optional to make Custom Avatars not show or something. I know other forums that have that option. I don't know if FuseTalk can do it but it would be nice. Also size limitation or whatever can make the load faster. Or maybe make it so that you have to a member for a certain time period and you can custom avatars. Therefore to insure you know the rules or whatnot about abuse. If you abuse, you get banned/account deleted. Simple right?

How about not. Then we don't have to worry about abuse at all. :Q

And the forum won't resemble a trailer park anymore than necessary...

There are enough avatars. The only one I think that should be added is the little dog one some guy used a few weeks back when you could use custom avatars. :)

i think something like golden members + should be allowed to have custom avatars so that theres a pretty good chance if they got 1000 posts w/o being banned, then theyre mature enough to have a custom avatar

Hell, I haven't even been here long enough to say that, and I'm well above your proposed limit!

What's wrong with member for X amount of time or Y amount of posts to let you have a custom avatar? Or even both restrictions so you don't go spamming to forum to get your count up.

This has been discussed many many times. Jason has already said (More in response to pictures) it isn't happening so stop trying. I do think more avatars would be nice, but lets keep the custom ones out.

Is this place supposed to be like a private prep school, where everyone has to wear an "approved uniform"? Ok then, where's the catholic schoolgirl avatar, with the short skirts and high knit stockings then?
