CNN

It is a little after 6PM over there so it should be dark/getting dark over there. The attacks look to be beginning in earnest tonight.

On a side note, doesn't it seem like we are getting an extreme blow-by-blow account of the war? Even moreso than the first Gulf War?

Of course, the media has been salivating about this for the last year. You just knew when 8pm rolled around yesterday they were praying for something to happen.

Not really...

CNN hasn't runn a commercial that I can recall since last night... This will cost them a ton of money...

: ) Hopper

Well, I think they've got enough money to risk a 48 hour period of solid coverage without ads. Because then when they slacken off, they can afford to stick it to the advertisers very hard saying "I'm sorry, our price for a 30 second spot just went up 4x. Be thankful it hasn't gone up 10x yet.

Trust me, like any good media company, they'll find ways to screw anyone they can. Including the advertisers.

Yes, we are. The internet wasn't in most US homes in 1991, it is now, and TV media has to compete.

All their commercials are for AOL. I'm not missing 'em! 🙂

yep, and there are careers to be made - get enough face time as a correspondent or reporter, and you're set.
