Wolfy's been killing nazi's going on 16 years now. I'm sure they were just as upset then, or weren't old enough to walk on their own yet.

When they start caring about people grabbing women by the pussy, I'll start worrying about people playing violent video games.

What was the other game recently announced. Where you were taking out preppers or something. Can't for the life of me remember what it was called.

You know someone is broken when they complain that a game is attacking Nazis in America. Bethesda may not have been explicitly trying to comment on modern US politics, but what their game covers shouldn't be considered controversial.

Poor misunderstood nazis. We just need to give them a big hug and tell them that we understand their pain, we truly do.

No bigot likes to be exposed to bigotry. They are well aware of the suppressed hatred behind bigotry, their idea being to express it, not to be exposed to it themselves. We create what we fear. The disgust bigots feel makes them disgusting to normal people.

Best way to trigger a Nazi? Make a video game where you kill them all! Hell, it's so easy that we've been doing it successfully since 1981!

....Jesus Christ, the whole Wolfenstein franchise is 36 years old. I'm surprised the name is still going on strong.

Shit, the original Wolfenstein came out in 81, before my gaming time, but I distinctly remember playing Wolf 3d on 5.25 floppies back in 92ish. BJ has been hard at work since before either of us were born.

I do miss the days when it "Killin Nazis" was the safest possible video game theme out there.

So some alt-right internet trolls complain about a game that glorifies the killing of Nazis as being the work of "antifa" and "SJWs" and we're concerned.. why?

Fsck em.

Anyone who's offended by killing Nazis is a Nazi or a troll, and should ignored.

Notice that Wolfenstein has existed for a few decades now. But this year is the first Nazi controversy.

Either they are louder, but still completely inconsequential, or... they've actually grown. If they have experienced any growth it's a result of vulnerable people (economy) being galvanized by partisanship. If conservatives see extremists as the only ones willing to #MAGA and you only offer venom... they'll take the extremists and begin to identify with them.

In terms of social media, the madness of the 2016 election is unending. That will cause psychological breaks and extreme partisanship. It'll make people see you as the "enemy" and a white supremacist as less than such. Over time such alignment will only cement itself further. Gone are the days when people would be removed from the ego surrounding politics and have time to smell the roses, or see the humanity in one another. This controversy is simply another warning sign of our worsening madness.

They are louder, but their numbers are grossly inflated by bots, trolls and Russians seeking to disrupt the US. And of course, inflated again by the huge negative response they garner.

The key to dealing with Nazis is to boot them off all social media, remove their platforms, relegate them to the shadows and their own failed micro-media again and realize free speech MUST recognize the paradox of tolerance.

The great social media experiment has ended just as MS's AI experiment ended. It was almost as swiftly taken over by intolerance in the name of tolerance.

The sooner social media accepts and employs the paradox of tolerance rules to preserve tolerance, the sooner we'll be back to normal.

Yeah, I had that running on a 486DX if memory serves.

I do recall being able to swap out the art files easily. Friend and I replaced all the wallpaper art with .gifs of naked chicks. Also had an art work pack that replaced the weapons with something... thematicly consistent.

Those were the golden days off gaming... Running down halls of boobs, gunning down Nazi scum with giant dildos.
