More air from front or side intake?

I'm trying to make as quiet of a rig as I can. But I'm looking at either putting a high cfm 120mm as my front intake, or a high cfm 80mm intake on my side panel. The side panel also has a wind tunnel that leads toward the cpu. I only want to put one of these because their hella noisy although I will be able to manually control their RPM's. Would the front intake or side intake play a bigger role in cooling the overall case and CPU?
