More cards with more RAM is great. I'm not going to complain about it, why would I do that?

The real problem is that 290 with 8Gb probably means that new chips from AMD are still months away.

HBM isnt going to change VRAM size as such. Maybe even downgrade instead. Its the speed thats the main goal. And HBM is an evolution on GDDR.

I'm talking about the developer decision of use Tons of Vram versus using less Vram. HBM will start on GPUs in smaller amounts, so if the Vram wall continues to grow like this we will still not get rid of GDDR so early.
