not scheduled to work this friday, so i had a party planned since last monday.
told everyone I was working with I had one going on friday and I was hosting since monday.

I get a call just now that one of the new asshats who work there want off on friday.
He said he "told" the owner he wanted off only like two days ago.
It's a two-person job and I'd be there alone if I decided to take his shift for /we reason he had.
plus, i have class til 5pm and I'd have to start at 4... :ANGRY!:

So.... work or party? NOW WITH POLL

It shouldn't be your responsibility to cover for him, especially since you're his supervisor.

You had the party planned.

But did you have the day off planned?

In a postion of authority; ie. you supervise, you ARE responsible for your dumbass, ignorant, insensitive subordiantes, unfortunately.

Does the mission of the company depend on someone covering that shift? If so, you need to be responsible and go in.

If not, drink your ass off and beat your stupid subordinate with a 2 x 6 on Monday.

there are no morals the govern this situation. You did not give your word that you would be there friday and it was assumed you would not be going in.

don't late him take off, if he doesn't show up fire him. if he says he is sick have him bring in a doctors note.

but you are the supervisor so you might be have to go in or getsome to cover.
