A rather shocking sentiment, wouldn't you say?

Shocking... somewhat. The idea that one group abides by different rules than other groups is not that uncommon. But saying that "morality is for the little people" is not only elitist, it's irrational, because morality cannot be escaped any more than the laws of physics. As long as human decisions are made, an ethical code of conduct arises whether a person realizes or not.

I know the idea of this thread is to spin this agiprop into broad attacks on tens of millions of people, Republicans, because they are teh eval... but I found it more interesting to disregard the hackery and look critically at the alleged words in the OP.

Morality is subjective for the Devil. He wants to see you suffer and the media wants to see people suffer. It makes for good news. In a way the Media is a proto-type in similitude of the Devil (Substitute concept of Evil for anti-theists)

The fact that much of our leadership is morally deprived should be obvious to anyone paying attention. This has been the case throughout most of history; the devious few lie, cheat, steal, and kill their way to power over the well meaning masses. However, I am at a loss as to understand how such people still manage to get away with calling themselves "Christians" in the modern era of widespread literacy and freely available transactions of the Bible. While I don't consider myself a Christian, I do hold great respect for the teachings of Jesus, and know he sternly condemned such behavior long ago.

I agree with him It's why I find dictators so abhorrent, they place themselves, a single person, above the lives of literally millions of others, as if those others are so small that their entire sum is still less than the single dictator.

I do hold great respect for the teachings of Jesus, and know he sternly condemned such behavior long ago.

In fact, the New Testament is profoundly wise in many ways and its teachings and illuminations of hypocrisy applicable as much now as they were 2000 years ago.
