Moral Dilemma

So I just spent an ass load of money on U2 tickets in a panic. I was only going for 2 one-grade above General Admission tickets, but my first 5 searches yielded nothing. Obviously I panicked and started searching for anything, and ended up scoring not only 2 of the most expensive tickets, but also 2 tickets at the price level I wanted.

These should (better be) pretty in demand tickets, and I'm somewhat ata loss at what to do. I'll probably offer them to friends first, but if that falls through, what do I do?

Now, do I profit, or do I unload these at face value plus whatever fee Ticketsnow sets?

I've been bitching out scalpers for years, but now I've become one. Dang.

I'm leaning towards selling them to friends. I finally looked at the seating charts, and it looks like I scored 2 seats with a perfect view of the stage (right above GA field). The other two are absolute nosebleeders, but with a good view of the entire venue and stage.

Considering that the dudes are getting old, this may be my last chance to see them. I was planning on selling the really expensive ones, but now I'm not so sure...

I'm leaning towards selling to friends in order to avoid the hassle of additional service charges from auctioning (probably Ticketsnow since it appears safest, and I don't have/want a Paypal account), or getting mugged doing a Craigslist exchange.

Well, got 5 months to unload them.

Friends don't let friends go to U2 concerts. You should throw all 4 tickets away and move on with your life.

LOL!! Got a good chuckle with that line. I was rocking, and rolling at least 20 years before this band even got out of the garage. You think old?? you can't handle old!!
Now get off my lawn, before I send you to a Frankie Valli, and the 4 seasons reunion concert.

So instead of buying 2 you bought 4 tickets? I believe the fail is on your part, I didn't realize somebody could actually go through an entire checkout process not realizing they didn't have what they wanted.

Meh, I'm just going to sell them at face-value to friends or other fans. Aside from local laws, I just don't see the point in any extra money I can get.

I knew I was buying 4. Just wanted to be sure that if I didn't get what I wanted, I'd still have the option of going. After seeing the seating chart for the crappier seats, I changed my mind. In retrospect, I should have just got my 2 and stopped.

I failed reading comp. so run it by me one more time.. Are you looking to keep the good/expensive seats or the not as good seats? Not that it matters for your alleged moral dilemma (sell for what you paid is my suggestion to that BTW) but I'm curious and confused.

I initially bought the second pair because I did NOT want to keep the expensive seats ($250 a piece). However, after actually looking at the seating chart, I realized that the cheaper seats were 2 decks higher, and over 200 yard farther from the stage. Thus, I decided to keep the more expensive seats.

Seeing as how scalpers will rape you $500 for general admission seats, I don't see why I shouldn't pay $250 for reserved seats above the fray.

And honestly, i never had a major dilemma. I was going to sell them face value, just wanted to know what other people thought. It appears that over 2 in 3 of your are bastards:).
